This is the Summer of More. We have, and are doing, more of everything. At this very moment I am collecting more eggs from our newly-laying pullets, making another zucchini and tomato dish using more produce from our garden, finishing up a very large batch of pesto made from basil grown in our garden, listening to my children play with the chickens, and wondering which herbs from the yard will accompany the fish just right tonight.
Pressing upon me gently is the understanding that I need to turn those nectarines into jam soon, and hit the blueberry patch up the road for some breakfast delights.
It’s August, my busiest month of the year.
